Reading Slumps: A Problem Facing Me Today
Hi my lovelies!! I have a problem that is eating me up inside! I am stuck in a Reading Slump! I have recently finished reading

Here and I thought, "Well why don't I just go ahead and read Uncommon Criminals so I can be done with the duo for now. But then I got hit with a case of the "Ughhhhh's" and I didn't know what to do! After looking at Uncommon Criminals sitting there on my desk, for about 4 days it hit me! The reason I don't want to read it is because I am trying to make myself read the book! My lesson here my sweets, is that YOU CANNOT FORCE YOURSELF TO READ A BOOK! It comes to you when it comes to you. I hate forcing myself to read because I know for sure that I will not fully enjoy the book and the lesson/experience that comes along with it. Take your time and read when you feel like it otherwise you will be miserable while reading. So I am trying to decide what book to read next and I would love your help. The Books Are as Listed by Picture. Now please don't fault me! I know I am late with reading some of these books and that is a problem I have. I know that viewers, readers, and fellow book bloggers would love to see new and upcoming books, but right now I really don't have to money nor resources to do that. I do, however, have a bookshelf full of about 100 books that I bought and haven't read yet. They may be from 2009-2012 but they are books that will be reviewed on this book blog. This book blog is for me to express my thoughts and opinions on things that I am reading, no matter how old or late the book is. So I hope you enjoy the content in this book blog to come. I would also greatly appreciate it if you would vote in the poll. I will decide by Friday what I will read. Also I updated the songs of the week! I vote for Tricks because I discovered Hopkins when I went through a mini-slump and reading her book pulled me out of it. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure it was "Tricks". Also, it's a fast read- blank verse poetry. So, you'll get a real sense of accomplishment because the pages will just fly by and before you know it, not only have you read a book, you've read a chunky book. (500+ pages)
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Anna and the French Kiss. It's a fun, quick read, and for me, it was a nice break from all of the paranormal stuff that I usually read. I don't read a a lot of contemporary YA, but this one was definitely worth checking out.
