Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga over at Tynga's Reviews! It is a great way for others to share what books they got over week. These are books that you got from the store, online, trade, borrowed from a friend, the library, review books, gifts, and ebooks.
Hey my lovelies!! I will not be doing this meme every week. Money is tight but I do have books on my shelves that I haven't even touched yet! But this week I picked up a couple of books and got two books for review. We will start with the books I got for myself.
I picked up these 4 John Green Books
Looking for Alaska [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Paper Towns [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
An Abundance of Katherines [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
I also picked up The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Catching Fire [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Mockingjay [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Many people enjoyed the Bad-Assery of The Hunger Games; I was very skeptical though. I have never really been a fan of dystopian novels due to the fact that I am not a ROBOT! I cry very easily and get emotionally attached to the characters I read about. SO the fact that there is killing going on TERRIFIES me to a level of bibliophilic despair! I'm torn between possibly reading the best dystopian set books I've ever read or crying my eyes out and being sad for a couple of days! I have bought the books, but I have only gotten to chapter 5 of The Hunger Games. I stopped to continue with school required reading, and I'm now still very skeptical of reading it. Please comment and tell me what you think!
The 2 books I got for review are
Pledged by Gwynneth White [Goodreads]
Arson by Estevan Vega [Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble]
Great haul! I have yet to read a John Green book btu I've heard such great things about them! I saw Looking For Alaska at my bookstore for $2 the other day and I regret not picking it up ): I also really want to buy the Hunger Games trilogy but I want the classic version! Hope you enjoy your books (:

My Haul
I also got Pledged this week (even though I forgot to mention it in my haul *facepalm*) and The Hunger Games trilogy was actually really good, but I hope you don't get too attached! :( I don't have attachment issues a lot, unless the book is REALLY good. I hope you enjoy, though!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Stacking the Shelves!

Great set! I love The Hunger Games. I have never liked dystopia, but I ate those books up. Love John Green although I've only read Will Grayson and Fault in our Stars.
ReplyDeleteMy Bookish Recap
Havnet read any John Green before, but I loved the Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteAND- I LOVE the cover for Pledged!!! :)
Happy reading
My first John Green book was The Fault in Our Stars and it was amazing after some research I decided it was time to invest in my own copies of all his books :)
