My Father's Day Pick would be...
Jack Salmon, her father, who works for an insurance agency in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. After Susie's death, he is consumed with guilt at having failed to save her. When their mother left them after Susie's death to be with her affair-ed lover, Jack Salmon did the greatest job as a parent to his kids and still solving his daughter's murder.

  19. I'll have to read Lovely Bones. I picked Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, which is still my favorite dad. But, thinking about it over the last few days, I'm also partial to Garp from John Irving's World According to Garp.
